Goals for Quarter 2

My three goals in art studio 8 for quarter 2 are 1.) to learn how to be precise with sculptures. I want to accomplish this goal because I think that being able to do only 2D pieces of art won't get me as far in my art as being able to do both 2D and 3D art would. In order to complete this goal, I will create sculptures this quarter, and I will create them as carefully as I can. In completing this goal, I will be learning a new art skill. I will know that I have reached this goal, because once I am completely satisfied with what I did, I know that I will have completed my personal goal for creating precise sculptures. 2.) to become better at making clay sculptures smoother. I want to be able to do this, because making pieces of art that aren't smooth don't look as carefully done as pieces of art are that are less smooth, even if the artist who did the messier-looking piece took longer on it that the person with the smoother piece did on their sculpture. Therefore, I want to mater the skill of being able to make smooth and nicer-looking clay pieces this quarter. I will complete this goal by creating carefully done clay sculptures this quarter. Doing this will help me improve my skills on making clay sculptures. I will know that I have reached this goal, because once I am completely satisfied with what I did, I know that I will have completed my personal goal for making smoother clay sculptures. 3.) to be able to do a careful and complete-looking painting. I want to be able to complete this goal this quarter because doing not-as-carefully-done paintings does not look like a lot of work was put into them, and they don't look like they were done by an 8th grader either. In order to complete this goal, I will slowly and carefully complete a neatly-done painting. Doing this will help me improve on my old skills of painting. I will know that I have reached this goal, because once I am completely satisfied with what I did, I know that I will have completed my personal goal for making more precise and exact paintings.
